Letters to My Co-Workers

A CEO Shares His Heart

Letters to My Co-Workers” is a unique collection of letters written by Kent as he served as President of Jacks Merchandising and Distribution for over 30 years. These letters touch on everyday topics in a not-so-everyday way and are not only poignant and applicable, but also touching and truly from the heart. This book is a great resource for any workplace leader as they seek to make an impact in the lives of their co-workers and employees, or as a special gift that will help any CEO as he “shares his heart” with those around him.

Letters to Workplace Leaders

Targeting Your Fellow Leaders to Spread the Word of Christ

As a follower of Jesus Christ, with the exception of your family, you will probably have no greater lasting influence than you will have as a leader in your workplace. I have been in the workplace for the last 40 years, leading a general merchandise distribution firm, a non-profit ministry to CEOs and business owners, and speaking around the world to leaders like you in the marketplace. During these years, I have shared some of my “lessons learned” with other leaders and my co-workers in monthly letters entitled “From My Heart to Yours”.  I am sharing these with you so that you will be challenged, in order for you to consider some of these values for yourself, and so that you will see how you can share your values in a non-religious way with your co-workers and other leaders in the everyday context of the workplace.

Christmas Letters

A CEO Shares the Meaning of Christmas

Beginning in 1974, we began the practice of sending Christmas Letters to all of our customers, vendors, co-workers, competitors, friends and family.  We have presented these as examples of how untrained writers like me can communicate values and spiritual truths to their co-workers, workplace associates, friends, and family in a “non-religious” way. I hope that you will enjoy reading these as much as I have enjoyed writing them over the years. May they inspire you to share verbally, by your actions, and in writing to those who are in your life.

Holiday Letters

A CEO Shares His Heart Throughout the Year

In keeping with the “From My Heart to Yours” series, this book is a collection of holiday-themed letters that Kent has written over the years to co-workers and peers. These letters range in topic from New Years to 4th of July and get to the “heart” of things around the holidays we all enjoy throughout the year. These letters provide a great example of ways to share Christ and faith-based messages in a “non-religious” way in the workplace and with friends and family.

Show and Then Tell

Presenting the Gospel Through Daily Encounters

How can we become confident in sharing our faith, both in action and word? How do we make ourselves available to others, Christian and non-Christian, to share what God has done in our own lives? How do we encourage them to trust God more? In Show and then Tell, Kent and Davidene encourage Christians that God has called every one of us to evangelism. He has given us unique personalities and gifts to reach our world for Christ. Our lives have extraordinary possibilities when we call on Jesus to give us the strength to share our faith – naturally.
