june 18 – update

We have had a good day today – our first full day at home. The new medication is still working well, and Kent was able to walk a little, and talk a little. It is a joy to be home, and our spirits are refreshed by the relative normalacy of the day. We have researched pharmacies today, and have found two that can actually get the medication. That leaves one hurdle to go – the insurance company. At the first of next week, we will make a submission to them that we hope they will honor. Several of you have been down this road before us, and have been very encouraging. Thanks.

We are excited about tomorrow. Our kids and grandkids are going to make dinner here for Father’s Day, and we can hardly wait. That could not have happened last Saturday! You have a happy Father’s Day, too.

In Him, Davidene

  1. Hi Davidene & Kent,

We have been away from your blog for several days and missed what was happening with you all but are back on today and so thankful that once again God has brought you through another trying time, and that all seems to be working out with the treatment for Kent. (Marilyn has been sick and in a lot of pain for a week and ended up in the ER at Mercy, Thurs. and was diagnosed with Diverticulitis but is home now and doing some better)… so that is why we had not checked your blog to see how you two are doing. We are praying that you and your family have a sweet, sweet Father’s day with Kent and that God brings total healing with the new found med. We love you all and praise God for you and for your servant hearts. We have been so blessed by you in many, many ways through the years. You are a bright reflection of Jesus.

    Love in Jesus,
    Jerry & Marilyn

  2. Yea! Wonderful good news. To be able to celebrate with family and at home is such a delight.

    Sweet Merciful Jesus,
Thank you for giving the Humphrey kids their amazing Dad this Father’s Day 2010!

In YOU Christ Jesus… Thank you beyond all!

    • Cathy, you are without a doubt the most faithful of all encouraging bloggers. We are SO grateful for you! THANK YOU for following God’s promptings to pray and write. It has meant so much to us. Love, Kent & Davidene
