June 5th – update

Today was a good day. Kent’s efforts to cough and breathe were better, and he slept 6 hours last night. His intestinal upset is worse, but his spirits are still wonderful. He can’t wait to be walking around the halls. We told him he should try to stand in place first. He has been so much himself:

  • he talks nearly non-stop until his pulse or blood pressure go high and the nurse runs in to tell him to be quiet.
  • he has a “free books” list, asking the hospital staff who care for him to sign and give addresses so that he can send them books later.
  • he is working on his new book ideas, writing them down on a tablet since he can’t focus well yet to use a laptop.
  • he is pleased with his progress, and can hardly wait to do more. The dr. told him to “chill out” and be patient. Can you imagine Kent being chilled out?

He is still one-of-a-kind, and everyone seems to be enjoying his mental energy and occasional silliness – me especially.

Have a wonderful Sunday, and when you take Kent to the Throne in prayer, do so with great thankfulness. God knows we are thankful for you. In Him, Davidene

    Davidene,

Ask Kent what verse or verses of scripture have come to his mind during all of this. What other thoughts has he had that he can share that have encouraged him?

    Trusting Him,

    John Wilson

So good to hear Kent has had another good day. We will be lifting him up in prayer this morning in Sunday School. We love all of your family.
