may 8th – update

Friends, you just can’t imagine how excited I will be to inform you that we have heard from Johns Hopkins, but that post will not be today. Yesterday was another “wait” day, except for a sleep apnea test (well, really that was Thursday night).

Today is a brilliant sunny Saturday, and I am looking out of my front window at our neighborhood lake, which is adorned with a new family of yellow fluffy chicks quietly following Mom and Dad in a straight line. As they pass silently through diamond-like sparkles of early morning sun, I am reminded of God’s  love of beauty and life. He is not changed, even when our circumstances have. I love that about Him. This evening we will see all of our kids and grandkids for a Mother’s Day celebration, complete with laughter and German chocolate cake. I can’t think of anything better than that; all is well in the Humphreys household. In Him, Davidene

If you want to know about sleep apnea, let me know. I have been using a c-pap machine for about 4 years now.

Keeping you both in my prayers for peace, strength, and comfort that only our God can
provide. You will have many fellow companions
in prayer on your journey to John Hopkins. Rest
    in your faith,
