Davidene Humphreys is an internationally recognized speaker and writer.
Davidene is the eldest of four children born to a physician and his wife, who moved the family to Oklahoma when she was thirteen years old. She met Kent Humphreys while in high school, and they married during their junior year in college. Both graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1968, she with a B. A. degree in English Literature and Education. After serving four years in the military, they returned to Oklahoma, where they have lived ever since. Kent and Davidene have now been married for forty years, have three married children, and eight grandchildren.
Davidene, who has been a “stay-at-home Mom”, has also been a writer (she has eight published books and has written over 300 Christian drama scripts), drama director, speaker, Bible Study leader, and a mentor to other women, especially young moms. In 2003 she was selected as Oklahoma’s “Mother of the Year”, and represented Oklahoma in Washington DC. She currently serves as the Coordinator for Women’s Ministries for her church. In her free time she enjoys traveling with Kent, animals, reading, scuba diving, horseback riding, and anything else which takes her outdoors (preferably with her grandchildren).
